In memory of...

My Great Grandpa Gerald Honn.
My great grandpa on my dad's side of the family passed away September 15th at his home. He was 85 years old. Mom, dad and I flew to Spokane to join the family for his memorial service. Unfortunately I was a bit tired and napped during his service but my dad gave the eulogy and everyone said he did a great job.

This past summer I got to spend a whole week at his house and we had lots of fun together watching the squirrels play from his big picture window in the living room. I even gave him hugs and kisses if dad promised me cheese! By the end of the week I was giving him hugs for free though! I will really miss him.

Helping Dad

Now that we have a new house we are getting lots of stuff to go in it. Here Dad and I are putting together an entertainment center. As you can tell, I am doing most of the work! After putting that together I discovered all of the styrofoam and broke it into a million little pieces. Then I told mom there was a "mess" on the floor. We haven't unpacked our vacuum yet so I go around and find the little pieces and say, "eew!" and then throw them away.
I'm somewhat of a clean freak (must be a recessive gene). Every morning I take out a wet wipe and tell mom I going to clean. First I start with the window sills then the bed frame and anything else I can find. I still love to do the laundry too. I'll have to tell mom to get that on video soon.

20 months!

I am 20 months old now! Since mom gets to go to the baby doctor and get weighed, I step on the scale too and I weigh 29 lbs now!
I've had to switch my monthly picture chair so many times now. This rocker is my great-grandmother's grandmother's. And that makes it pretty old I think. I call my great grandma "Ma" and my great grandpa "Pop". They came over to see my new house and visit me the other day.
I still love trucks and point them out whenever we go somewhere in the car. I like to say, "whoa, truck!" I can even tell you what color it is! I know white, black, brown, blue, yellow and sometimes red. I like to tell people what color their eyes are too. I know mine, papa's and pa's are blue and mom's, dad's, nana's, and ma's are brown. Oh yeah, I can now say my name too! I say, "Jo Nah" or sometimes "Nah Jo". Mom and dad think it's real cute so they always ask me what my name is now. Mom and dad are painting my room so stay tuned for pictures of that when they're all finished! See you soon!

Rough-housing with Dad!

Our new house is lots of fun! We don't have much furniture yet so dad and I get to romp around everywhere! Here I am taking a horsey ride and a crab ride!

New House

I'm moving! We got a new house and today is the official day we move in. I'm a little confused as to why all my toys have been disappearing into the car and today even my crib came down!

I've been such a good helper. I insist on carrying stuff for dad and I loved the big truck that was parked in front of our house!

All I wanted to do was run up and down the ramp but my parents wouldn't let me. Said it was "too dangerous" or something.

While Dada and Papa moved stuff, Nana and I played in the shower! Boy was it fun!

I think I'm gonna like my new home but I sure will miss my Nana and Papa. Luckily we live close by...much closer than Hong Kong!

Little Swimmer!

Last week I started my first swim class! Nana spied me sticking my face in my bath water and decided it was time to learn how to swim. So Papa bought me a membership and signed me up! I get to go twice a week, once in the morning with mom and then in the afternoon with dad. I am a very serious swimmer. I am learning to "dig" and "kick". I'm much better at the kicking part. At my first lesson we got there early and another class was still going on. When I saw those kids going down the slide I practically pulled mom into the water saying, "me, me!". Then when I got to go on the slide I was straight faced and didn't crack a smile. I'm in class, what can I say? I take my lessons seriously, no goofing around. I only got to go twice but I kept saying, "one more"?

I also get to sing, play fun games and chase balls around the pool. I can't wait till my next class! I'll be swimming in no time!
