More visitors!

This is my mommy's Bible study group plus one extra husband! They were my first home visitors. I showed them all how I could sleep...it's one of my best tricks.

This is the Thompson family minus Juliet. They live right beside me!

Here's Juliet!

This is Rany. She works with my mom and she brought over some yummy chicken soup for us. She is one of the nicest people my mom has ever met! (And she's a Princess!!!)

Here are the VanTassel's again. Brian showed my dad how to bounce me and it's one of my favorite things to do now!

Here's Jon again too. He was nice enough to let me watch my first Super Bowl at his place...too bad my team lost.

Bryan and Emily like to make up excuses to come over and visit me...like working on stats with my dad. Bryan even held me this time!

Jeff and Anna persuaded my parents to come over for dinner...I just think they wanted to see me!

Here are the Hubbard's. They invited us over for dinner too and my parents weren't about to pass that up! Mari is the best cook in Hong Kong!

My first week at home

My Big Papa H. finally got here on Friday when I was 4 days old. He really likes to rock me and he's trying to talk me into being a Tarheel fan. But the truth is....me and dad love the ZAGS!

Got Milk??

I am such a snuggly baby. My Gramma Jani is so comfy I just can't keep my eyes open.

My daddy's hands are so big but I'm already wrapped around his little finger.

I'm not so sure about bath time... daddy says I don't have to take them but I'm afraid mommy will make that call.

Mommy likes to wear matching clothes with me but for some reason I have to change mine a little more often...

My mom's friend, Carrie Boucher, made this beautiful "Suzy Zoo" quilt for me. It is so soft! When the weather gets cold I know it will keep me nice and warm.

I have a pretty rough life. I eat and sleep and get cuddled all day long. It's exhausting work but somebody's gotta do it.

Don't worry, there are a lot more pictures coming! Night-night....

First pics

I'm here! Even though my mom wanted an epidural I was too quick. Mommy felt her first contraction at 11:30pm and after an adventurous taxi ride we made it to the hospital at 1:30am. The nurse said it was going to be a long labor but she was wrong (thank goodness). I was out by 4:40am! The doctor barely made it in time. My Gramma Jani got to be in the delivery room even though it was against the policy. I think the chinese doctors were afraid of my mom's screaming and decided to let her have her way.

I am pretty popular around here.
I'm known as the 4 kilo
white baby. During viewing
hours I get lots of comments from
the chinese grandparents on how
huge I am. I had lots of people visit me in the hospital but unfortunately I had to stay in the nursery because of the "bird flu" and "SARS"... I didn't want just anybody coming in and contaminating me! They got to look at me in my burrito wrap and I liked to wrinkle my eyebrows at them. Daddy's friends had fun guessing which baby was his! (ok, so maybe I was the only white baby...)

Here I am in my daddy's arms. I am so precious and very peaceful.

Here is my family.

I'm home and my Gramma finally got to hold me! She thinks I'm the most wonderful, beautiful, sweetest baby in the whole world and you know what? She's right!

I love snuggling with mom. She
sure does kiss me a lot!

Just hangin' out with my proud daddy.

I am learning to be such a good
sleeper and eater. My first night
in the bassinett went great! I
didn't even cry once. Of course I
may just be teasing my parents
but I thought I would give them
an easy night since they were a
little tired.

Well, that's all for now! See you in a few days.
Love, Baby Jonah
