Enjoying Life

As you can see, I'm helping mom with the laundry....or maybe she's just procrastinating on folding it. I think I distract her just a little. How can she resist this face??

I've been working so hard on my naps this week. My mommy hates it when I cry so she takes me on a walk up and down the hallway in my stroller...we're a little tight for space so sometimes we bump into a chair or the couch but I don't mind. She gets me real groggy before picking me up and slipping me into bed. I wake up just a little but she's very sneaky... she pats my belly and keeps singing and then I just drift off to dreamland. This works most of the time, but I still like to cry sometimes just to let her know I'd rather her hold me.

In other news, I've started laughing. Real laughs! For the past several weeks I've been giving off a sort of "pitty laugh" if you will. I sort of open my mouth and say, "hu hu hu" but my parents say it's not real. It sure does make them laugh though! Well, mom started playing peek-a-boo with me and she said I was so cute she wanted to eat me up and she started eating my hand! No joke! It was hilarious! It even made me squeal! We both couldn't stop laughing.

As most mommies out there know, I also have a never ending supply of drool. Mom wipes it away but it just keeps coming and coming. I love to blow bubbles with it and make cool sounds.

I also enjoy pulling out mom's hair. She got it cut but not short enough! Sometimes I eat it and other times I just grab a handful and yank!

Sleepy boy

Hi everyone!

I had a rough weekend...

Mom and dad got some crazy idea that I should go down for a nap all by myself instead of being held to sleep. My mom's friend, Casey, is behind all of it! She's been filling my mom's head with silly ideas. You see, when it's "naptime" they read me a book, sing a song and then put me in my crib...hello...I'm not even asleep yet! And plus, don't I usually take naps in mom and dad's bed? I overheard them say something about me learning how to roll over so I have to go in my own bed now. Well, I didn't really like this new change of events so for each nap on Saturday and Sunday I let them know I was not happy. Only it didn't really work because no one came and got me. So today I just decided to go down without a fuss. I slept for almost 2 hours! I've never slept that long before, except at night of course. It looks like mom snapped my picture without me even noticing. She's a brave woman, that flash could have woken me up!

Happy Easter!

I was so excited for my first Easter! Mom and dad got me all dressed up and my Great Aunt Helen got me the cute bunny ears and basket. Thank goodness I was in a good mood or I would have never let them put those silly things on me! I'm not a big fan of having anything on my head. After I posed for a few pictures I figured it was time to look for some Easter candy! I didn't find any in my basket so I decided to eat the basket instead. Mmmm....yummy!

My Herzog Grandparents got to spend Easter with me before they flew back home. They got me the bedtime Carebear and rumor has it my dad had the same one when he was little! I know I'm going to love cuddling with it.

3 Months!

Hi Everyone!
I just had my 3 month birthday and as you can tell (by the rolls) I'm quite a healthy boy. I went to the Health Clinic today and I weighed in at a hefty 18.04 lbs. So I've officially doubled my birthweight now....is that normal? My Gramma Jani says I must be drinking "milk shakes" instead of mommy's milk. Oh heck, there's more of me to love...right??! I don't mind going to that Clinic but I just wish they would stop poking my leg with sharp things, ouch!

I've had a very busy month. I'm learning to play with an open hand on my playgym, I've learned to yell when I want out of my bouncy chair and I just figured out how to roll onto my side!

Last week my Herzog Grandparents came to visit me, I got my passport and I visited the highest point in Hong Kong called The Peak. I also went to a place called Kadoorie Farm where I saw some giant pigs! ...Well I may have slept through that adventure but I still managed to get a few pictures.

Here I am on U.S. soil for the first time. It may not look like I'm excited but inside I can hardly contain myself. I'm not sure what a passport is but I hear I'll need it for a long plane ride I will be taking in June.

Don't worry it's not pollution in the background, just "haze" as the locals like to call it.

Here's Kadoorie Farm. There wasn't much to do here because a lot of the exhibits were closed for the season or indefinitley...like the birds (they had the flu or something). I hope they get better soon.

I have been reading lots of books lately. My favorites are: The Crayon Box That Talked, Lolli Lion and The Story of Jonah. My Great Aunt Nancy and Uncle Phil got me the Jonah book. I love to hear my name in that story!
