Super Market Sweep!

I almost forgot the best part of our Tennessee trip! The grocery store there had the coolest little grocery carts that were just my size! I thought I was one cool cat! You should have seen me zipping up and down the aisles putting stuff in my cart. It was loads of fun! I even waited patiently at the checkout counter for my turn, then I handed all the groceries to the clerk. Why don't all grocery stores have these carts?

Tennessee

Last week we went to Tennessee to meet up with some of our friends from Hong Kong. First of all, I want to mention that I have a lot of really good qualities...however, flexible is not one of them. I had a bit of a rough week. You see, we all had to sleep in the same room and well, let's just say I didn't like that. And I didn't like nap time either. I wanted to be in my real home in my own bed. Despite my crankiness I did have some fun. I got to play with Naomi and Kylee. We were very close to a park that I got to go to every day, I went swimming in two different pools and a lake, and on the last day we went to the zoo where I rode mostly on Daddy's shoulders. Here are my picture highlights!

One of my favorite things...

...is going on walks. I always ask mom and dad, "you want to go for a little bit of walk with me?" I love to push my car around. Ocassionally I'll ride in it and stop every few feet to pick up rocks but mostly I want to push it. I'd walk around all day if I could, I never seem to get tired. Part of our road has a really steep hill on it but that doesn't phase me a bit! And I am very careful of cars. When I hear one coming I quickly pull my car to the side of the road and wave to whoever is going by. Here are a few pictures from our most recent walk.
I also love to stop and play with all the fire hydrants along the way. I like to clang the chains around and I tell mom and dad that if there is a fire a big fire engine comes and hooks up to this and lots of water comes out.
Baby Zeke likes to come on walks too but he just rides in his stroller. He likes to look up and see who is pushing him though!

Father's Day Weekend Part I

Father's day weekend was grand! We went to the Nature Center which I like to call "the petting zoo", except we got there too late to pet the animals. But I still had a blast running around and looking at the animals. This time my favorite animal to look at was the peacock. And of course I had to stop and drive the tractor for a while...beep beep!

Pool time!

Summer is officially here now thanks to my cool pool! "Cool" may be and understatement...dad filled it up with the outside hose and while it is warm outside, that water was freezing! Thankfully mom made a few trips to and from the bathtub bringing me hot water.

I played in my pool all afternoon and even when my lips started turning blue I still didn't want to come out.

Check out my belly!

BIG belly, skinny belly! Pretty neat trick huh?

29 months!

In just one more month I'll be 2 and a half! Where has the time gone?
Life is good in the Herzog house. As we speak (type) my baby cousin Sydney is being born in Seattle! She's taking her sweet time (typical girl!) :0 We can't wait to meet her next month when we go to Washington.

Summer is offically here! Daddy gets to stay home with us everyday! On his last day of work I got to go with him but it wasn't as much fun as I had anticipated. After just one hour I was calling Mom crying and wanting to come home. I sure am glad I don't have to go to work every day, that is boring! Usually when Dad takes me to work we exercise with our friend Rick. So that's what I thought "work" was. Boy was I wrong. But here are a couple pictures of me getting ready to go. First we packed a lunch, then we watched some cartoons before it was time to go.
The reason we had so much time to waste is that I like to get up real early now. Like between 6-6:30! Mom and Dad aren't too pleased with this new arrangement but I like it because it gives me more time to play! I do get sleepier earlier so I just take my nap a bit earlier now. Problem solved!
I am still a very sweet boy. When Mom and Dad ask me if I want to do something I either say, "No thanks" or "Sure, absolutely".
In other news, I finished up my last round of swim lessons for now. But that doesn't stop me from practicing my dives! I just round up all the pillows in the house and dive off the furniture. Mom says I'm going to crack my head open one of these days but I assure her I am fine after each dive!

My Room

Well now that we've been in our house for almost a year, my room is finally finished! It's actually been fine but mom likes to rearrange furniture and she finally found a combination that works...at least for now!
