Play Date!

Last week I had a super fun play date with Claire and her mom Heather. Claire is only 14 months old but she was lots of fun to play with. First, I read her books in my bed (don't worry the door was open the whole time).
Then we took turns pushing each other on my train.

Next we played with blocks.
Then we climbed in the block tub.(Everyone was surprised we both fit!)

Then it was time for her to go home so I gave her a sweet hug and said she could come over whenever she wanted! Parting is such sweet sorrow.

It was so fun to talk to you on the computer. I hope you had a really wonderful day. Thanks for letting me blow out your candle and for all the great computer kisses! I'm going to go on a big plane, really fast and come see you soon. I love you Pa! Happy Birthday!

"I am painting boy"!

(Not to be confused with "jumping boy" or "nakey boy".)
I love to help. If mom and dad are doing something around the house (besides playing with me) I ask them if they need help. Of course they always do and I'm right there to lend a hand. I am very good at unloading the dishwasher. I put away all the silverware by myself. I also like to help make salads. Once everything is cut up, I distribute it evenly (sometimes) in the bowls. And when friends come over I help make the house "nice and neat". For the past few days Dad and I have been busy staining our deck. I have the most important job...painting with water. I like to make the wood look darker.

27 months!

"CHEESE" anyone? These monthly pictures are getting harder and harder for mommy. She's even resorted to bribing me! I got some yummy peanut butter (a new favorite food) for this cheesy grin! And notice the hair band...mom wears these occasionally so I thought I would too. Below are some random pictures of me this month.

I found these cool hats in mom's souvenier stash and had to have them! She couldn't resist my sweet face.

I'm very into hats these days!

Ahhhh, olives... Just last week I was picking them out of my food and now look at me!

In other random news, I now eat meat. I love chicken (even if it doesn't come from a Chinese restaurant), and I also eat chili, steak and hot dogs! Little did mom know, but dad gave these to me for lunch one day and I loved them! But as long as mom is staying home with me I don't think they will become a regular staple in my diet...

Mom and dad say that I am a sweet, sweet boy. I always say please and thank you and tell them I love them. Dad's favorite part of the day is coming home to one of my "Jonah-bear snuggle bug dinosaur hugs". That means I run and jump in his arms and squeeze really tight. Who wouldn't love that?!

I am quite the talker these days too. I talk in complete sentences all the time now. I like to ask Mama, "What are you doing?" all day long. After repeating herself a few times she says something off the wall like she's swimming when she's really cooking and I laugh and laugh.

Speaking of swimming, my swim lessons are going well. I went through a little phase where I did not want to do anything, even go down the slide but I'm over that now and I love to dive into the water! I can even jump off the diving board!

I'm reading a ton too. Sometimes at night I read the books to mom and dad instead of them reading to me. Mom will have to try and capture that on video soon.
