More Family Fun

My Great Uncle Robert and Great Aunt Connie came up from Georgia to visit me. They didn't believe that I wore size 18 months but when they saw me they understood!

I love to stand up now! Not on my own of course but I'm getting there. When I'm laying down I love to pull myself up to a sitting position and then I just pop right up. Sometimes my legs get a little "jello-ee" and I fall down but it is so much fun! I'm always very proud of myself.

Here I am with Gramma Jani and Big Papa H.
They like to read books to me and I like to pull their glasses off. It's a great game. I'm quick too!

My Baptism

What a sweet day for me. Mom and I got baptised together at my Great-Grandparents church. My Great-grandpa even got to hold the water for us since he is an Elder in the church. After that dad and I left to go take a nap right outside the doors. (I was having a hard time sitting still.) After church we headed to my grandparents house for a big ol' southern meal of steak-n-gravy, okra, biscuits and all the fixins'!

When I'm bigger, I know I'm gonna love that yummy food. For now, it's just green beans and sweet peas for me...but mom says today I get to try some butternut squash!

Rice cereal...yummm!

If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in my FACE!

Well, I did it. I ate real people food! I had my first taste of rice cereal at my Herzog grandparents house and although it was a bit soupy I liked it. I've had it a few more times and for some reason everyone crowds around the table to watch me. After a few days of that stuff I got to eat some green beans! I can't decide for sure if I like them but my mouth keeps opening so they keep shoveling it in. And if they're not fast enough I lunge in after it. After a few days of green beans I got some sweet peas. I ate those up fast. Mom and Dad think that if they feed me my green veggies now I will like them when I get bigger. We'll see about that.

North Carolina

My Grandparents and my Great Grandparents all met me at the airport. Everyone was so excited I'm sure we caused a big scene.

Since arriving my Gramma Jani took the day off to spend it with me. Too bad she had to go back to work. My big Papa H comes home in the evenings just in time to play with me before dinner. A couple days ago I went to their office and made my rounds visiting. I even blew out the Tarheel outfit I was wearing...dad was so proud of me!

Wedding Bells

After my visit in Washington I headed to St.Louis to attend a wedding. My parent's friends, Jeff and Anna, from Hong Kong were getting married and dad was in the wedding party! He sure looked handsome all dressed up. Mom and I stayed in the hotel most of the time, strolling the halls, swimming and playing in the big king sized bed. The reception was on a river boat and lots of people got to hold me cause mom was getting a little nauseous. I also visited Illinois on accident after a wrong turn trying to get back to the hotel. This picture is all of mom and dad's friends from Hong Kong who got to go to the wedding.
Of course after the wedding was another plane ride to NC. We had to take 2 little hoppers which meant not a lot of time or room for mom and dad to get up and walk with me. You see, I don't really like to sit still. And the bad news is that I caught a bit of a cold somewhere. I have a slight fever and my nose is all stuffy which makes it hard to breathe and eat at the same time! I got all checked out at the doctor's office though and while I was there I decided to get 2 more shots. Ouch! At least I got some cool bandaids out of the deal!

6 Months!

I'm half a year old! Thanks to Butch and Pam for letting me borrow the cream chair for my photos.
I have been having so much fun meeting my family and visiting mom's friends. No stranger anxiety for me yet! I got to meet my Great Grandpa Honn and my Great Aunt Helen.
They came here for a few days just to visit me!

I've also been having a great time playing with my new toys here. I borrowed an exersaucer from my friend Emma and I got the Johnny Jump-up as a gift. At first I didn't really know how it worked so I just sat in it and spun around but now I figured out I can jump and boy is it fun!

Okay, I know a lot of you out there are wondering how much I weigh now. Unofficially I hit 20 lbs. My mom's friend had a scale and I was right at 20 but I also had my clothes on... My last doctor visit (4 weeks ago) I was 19.2 lbs. Good news for me cause I'm back on the charts! Mom must be making skim milk now cause I'm no longer gaining 3 lbs a month. Speaking of eating, there is a rumor going around about me trying some rice cereal soon...stay tuned!
Here are a few of mom's friends. One has a little girl and one has a little girl on the way! Besides my buddy Rogan, all of mommy's friends have girls! There has been some talk of arranged marriages....glad I have some options! This cute girl is Abigail. She's 5 1/2 months older than me....but wait, we're the same size! She does a lot more tricks like crawling and walking though. And she's so funny!

Here's Emma. She's 8 months older than me and she's way bigger than me too! I was a little bit scared of her. She liked to pat my head. But she did let me borrow her toys. Next year I'll be able to hold my own against her!

My new friend Rogan

I finally got to meet my "blog" friend Rogan.

He let me come over to his house and play with his toys. I'm not so sure he wanted to share but his mom let me play with them. I didn't really care what I played with, they all tasted good! I really liked Rogan. I finally met a baby bigger than me! Okay, so maybe he is a year older than me but who's counting! After playing I was all tuckered out and mom had to pouch me.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! My great uncle Dave and Nancy got me a red, white and blue outfit for the occasion. It says "USA Baby" but of course the tag says, "...made in China".
I sure have been one busy baby lately. I go to BBQ's almost every day it seems. There is always someone new who wants to meet me and food is always a good way to get mom and dad somewhere! I am really enjoying the nice cool weather here. No humidity is really nice. I am learning some new tricks here too. I used to just roll one way but now I can go both ways. I giggle a lot when someone tickles me, I am putting a lot of weight on my feet now when someone is holding me, I blow lots of rasberries and stick my tongue out. I am a very happy baby and so far I am letting anyone and everyone hold me. However, when I start to get tired I prefer someone to bounce me and walk with me. And then there's the sleeping thing. Some days I take 2 1/2 hour naps and some days I don't nap at all! I like to keep my parents on their toes. Back home I used to be such a good night sleeper but here I've been waking up a lot. Hello!...my parents flew me across the world, what do they expect?? I'm sure I'll get it all figured out just in time to go back home.

Family Fun!

My first week in the US we went to Sun River for some R&R. I got to meet my Aunt Lindy, Uncle Justin, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Scott and their cute doggy Lucy Belle. It's a good thing Sarah taught her "no licky" because she liked to get real close to my face! I can't say that I liked her but I didn't mind her either.

Our next stop was to visit some family on Mommy's side. I met my great Aunt Nancy, Uncle Phil, and cousins Angela, Tim, Derrill, and lots of kids. My little cousin Elle liked me the best I think.

We also went to Seattle and I got to meet my Great Grandad Herzog and Betty.
We got a picture with 4 generations of Zogs!

Uncle Scotty and Aunty Sarah got me the little Husky outfit so the Zog boys had to pose for another pic.
