Play-pen with a view!

Here I am playing outside in our laundry room. I love it out here! I walk over to the sliding glass door and bang on it until Mom lets me go out. Then I squeal and giggle because I get to climb up the wall. I love to open and close the screen door and the door to the washer. It's quite fun to watch the clothes go round and round in the dryer too. I've also been known to give Mom and Dad kisses through the screen door.

Today I decided to do a crazy back bend and Mom kept telling me to stop but it was too fun! You can see her hand ready to catch me should I lose my grip. Thanks Mom!

Sun nin fy lok!

Happy New Year! This is the year of the pig. Actually the golden pig which only occurs every 60 years. On New Year's Eve Mom and Dad didn't sleep well because of all the firecrackers going off in our village. Me on the other hand slept like a baby and didn't hear any of it. We had something very exciting happen in our village, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong came to visit and everyone was outside waiting to greet him. He's basically like the president. While we were out I got tons of lai see (red packets) filled with money! It's traditional for people to give these red packets to single people and children. I made out like a bandit!

We also went to see a park near Dad's school. Here are a couple pictures:

13 Months!

Well, this post is a little late but I'm 13 months old now! Mom took this picture of me on the 9th but said I was showing a little bit of sass so she was going to retake it. Meanwhile our camera broke and now it's a little late since I'm closer to 14 months. So here I am in all my sass!

Let's see...what new things can I do? I've added "bye-bye" with my wave, I love to climb stairs, I can roar like a lion and I still want to go outside every chance I get.

(Mom and dad got a new camera today so I'll be posting some more soon!)

...Caught Again

Lately I've been getting into a little bit of mischief. You see, we have this great TV cabinet that is so much fun to play in. First I was fascinated by the shiny handles on the drawers, but while playing with it one time it closed on me and my fingers got stuck so a childproof lock went on that and no more drawers for me. Well then I discovered that the side door opens and boy was that fun to slam shut. Then I got this great idea to climb in! It was quite easy. I just crawled into my toy basket and hopped right up.
I got to play in there for a couple of days but then when I wanted out I just lunged right out and mom didn't think that was too safe or something so now there is a child lock on that too! Can you believe it? Can't a guy have any fun?

I Love the Park!

Now that I'm a big boy I get to go to the park. It is so much fun! I like to go down the slides with Mom and then try to climb back up them. It's a little tricky but oh so much fun! I smile and giggle the whole time.
I also LOVE the swings. Hong Kong doesn't have very many parks with swings but there is one by Dad's school so I have a feeling I'm going to make a stop there every time I visit him.

Mom and I go to the park every day now. I love to hold her hands and walk around. Pretty soon I'll be doing stuff on my own but for now I'll let Mom and Dad play with me.

My First Haircut!

I got my first haircut! Dad wanted to cut it for a long time but Mom wasn't so sure. She finally gave in and let Dad have his fun. I suppose my bangs were in my eyes a bit and yes, I may have been sporting a mullet, but that's the style, right?! Of course they couldn't just cut it, Mom had to put a ribbon in it so she could keep a lock of it in my scrapbook. They distracted me with a little bit of cheese and I was puddy in their hands. I barely even noticed!
Now I really look like a big boy!

Bye bye Gamma :(

I had the greatest time with my Gamma Jani. Too bad she had to go back home. Mom said she could stay and be our helper (most people here have domestic helpers from the Phillipines or Indonesia). The local people are surprised when they hear that my mom and dad take care of me. Gamma said she would love to stay but she had to do something called "work"...whatever that is.

Here are a couple more pictures of our fun together:

And here are a couple we snapped at the airport. I fell asleep on Gamma in the taxi giving her some great snuggle time with me before she left.

Dad and I are practicing our China squats, who do you think is better?
