It's Potty Time!

Let me show you how! Mom and Dad tried training me a while back but failed miserably. The main problem was that I couldn't pull down my own pants! And I didn't want to. But now I'm my own man! Not only can I pull down my own pants, I can poo in the toilet like a big boy! I'm not very secretive when it comes to pooing so mom was determined to put me on the toilet. We battled and I mean battled for about 2 hours until I couldn't hold it anymore. Then the next day I told dad to put me on and I went two more times for him! Mom says I can no longer poo in my diaper so this is where I do it from now on! Sometimes I take a little reading material in with me....and let's be honest, what guy doesn't? Afterwards we went and got ice cream for my special treat! Mom is hoping I will not have a problem later in life since they are bribing me with food but let's face it....it works! While we were celebrating my parents were telling me how big I was now and how proud of me they were, high-fives and fist bumps were plenty, yadda yadda...so I blurted out, "Yeah and pretty soon I can drive too, just like Dada!" Seems like the next logical step: poop in the toilet then drive.

Bye-bye Summer!

Our summer vacation has sadly come to an end. Dad has to go back to school on Monday (boo hoo). But at least we ended with a bang! We went swimming in Jan's pool and I got to go to Jake's birthday party! Here are some pictures of me swimming and a video highlight of me diving. (I've lost a little skill by not having lessons this summer but I still love the water and I wasn't afraid to dive right in!)

Jake's birthday party was a blast! It was at a place called The Little Gym. I had fun jumping, rolling, singing, dancing, swinging and of course eating! Jake's mom said that I could help him open his gifts but after one present I told her that I needed to go finish my cupcake. Priorities people!

Happy Birthday Jake!

Katie's Garden

Oh how I miss Katie's garden. Every day I would take my parents or grandparents on a walk to Katie's garden. She had the most wonderful food there! Blueberries, rasberries, peas, carrots, strawberries...everything a growing boy loves! She was so kind to let me raid it every day. She also had beautiful flowers there that she let me pick and give to my mommy. (Moms like flowers, it butters them right up!)

I miss you Dan and Katie! Can't wait to see you (and your garden) again!

30 months!

Or..."Two and a half" as I like to say!
I'm a bit late with this post but better late than never I guess! I'm still a sweet boy but I am trying my best to assert my independence. You know, do what I want, when I want, how I want. Sometimes this does not always gel with what mom and dad say so I am spending a bit of time in my room but it doesn't take me long to snap out of it and I give the sweetest apologies complete with hugs and kisses. It seems that mom and dad actually mean what they say...go figure! Sometimes I don't even get a bedtime snack if I'm not a good listener. The torture! And speaking of food, it seems my belly is never full. Mom and dad have to eventually cut me off from food in the mornings. After I finish off my breakfasts (emphasis on the "s") (cereal, cottage cheese, fruit, oatmeal, etc, etc.) I proceed to "share" with mom and dad whatever they may have left of theirs. What? "We're family, we share!"

This past month I've been livin' it up at my Ma and Pa's house. Every morning Pa and I play cars, in fact I've got 2 of them in my picture with me! (Mom had to bribe me to smile.) And besides all the girls I've gotten to play with (Emma, McKenzie, Abby, Hannah, Jorie, Mikalah, Skye...just to name a few) I actually got to play with some boys... finally! Lucas Bauman came over and we threw rocks in the pond and then Awstace and Ryker Grauer came over and we played cars! Don't get me wrong, I love the girls. In fact at night when mom and I sing "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" I tell her "Don't forget the girls"! I especially like to sing about Abby and Hanny. Maybe it has something to do with all the kisses Abby gave me!
