Hanging out with friends!

I have been busy visiting lots of friends here. Emma and I are cooking up a yummy dinner. Looks as if she's telling me what to do...
This is Grace and Alex, Trevor and Emma, McKenzie and me. Mom's friend Angie invited us all over for dinner and boy did we have fun!
Dad is holding Trevor and since he's such a big boy I thought dad might need a little help.
Just sitting back in our rockers and relaxing.

Helping Grandpa

Grandpa and I are building a fence! I'm a big helper and I always ask to go "ou" (out). I think I could stay outside all day if mom and dad let me. I love to water flowers, pick up rocks, point out ants and bees and just walk around in the grass.

Oh yeah, I also put my hand and footprint in Grandpa's cement. I can't exactly say that I liked the experience (it was a little dirty for me) but my little prints are there forever now and my grandparents think that is pretty sweet.

Bath fun!

Bath time can be so much fun! I have some great squirting toys that I can really work now. The turtle of course is my favorite and now I can fill it up with water all by myself. I've also discovered how to aim! This time daddy got to be my target. I was giggling so hard mommy had to come in and snap a few pictures.

Visiting Family

Well, I've made my rounds in Washington visiting tons of family who haven't seen me since last summer. Yesterday we drove up to Everett to see family on my dad's side. I saw my Great-Grandad and Betty, my great Unlce Wayne and my great Aunt Nova and cousin Kasey.

There was a big chocolate cake waiting for me when I got there but for some reason I didn't get any of it. (Mom and dad still haven't given me any sugar...but it was still nice of my great grandparents to get it for me.) I had lots of fun outside watering plants with my grandpa, running down the ramp and saying "weeeeee!" and coloring on the floor.

I had lots of fun with Uncle Wayne. He played with me on the floor and we quickly became good friends!

Cousins

On Saturday my great Aunt Linda and Uncle Joe came to visit me! We had a yummy lasagna dinner and then we played and went to the park. I had lots of fun playing with Caitlin, Colin and Haley. Haley had a cool frog that she caught and I made the ribbit sound whenever I wanted to see it. Towards the end of the visit I was getting a little tired and only wanted mama to hold me. It's hard work playing all day.

Then on Sunday we went to visit some relatives on mommy's side of the family and unfortunately the only picture that didn't turn out too dark or fuzzy was this one of me playing with dad. My cousins had some cool toys to play with but I didn't want to let mom or dad out of my sight.

"Beep, beep!"

My new favorite thing after going for a ride in the car is to "beep beep" the buttons. As soon as we pull into the driveway mom and dad let me push the button on the garage door opener. Then I hop up to the front seat and start pushing all the buttons. I love the eject button because a cd pops out and startles me every time. I also discovered the horn and scared my grandma a couple times! I love to put my seatbelt on too. As soon as I get in my carseat I tell everyone "belt" to remind them to put their seatbelts on. Then periodically throughout the ride I check again to see if they are still buckled up. Safety first!

My new baby brother

Just wanted to let everyone know that my new baby brother has his own blog now. Yes, he's a little advanced for his age (22 weeks gestation) but you know how technology is these days...
If you want to keep tabs on him, just go to http://ezekieljames.blogspot.com

Summer Play-Date!

Mom and I went to visit some friends yesterday and I was way outnumbered by girls! We all had dinner together then we played with all of McKenzie's toys. She had a really cool ball pit and a riding car toy that I especially liked.
From left to right, mom and me, Erin and her girls Abby (2) and Hannah (4 months), and Shelley and her little girl McKenzie (11 months).
Look how much we've changed from this time last year!

Summer Lovin'...

Had me a blast!
My grandparents bought me a cool summer pool to cool off in while I'm here. I love to get in and splash around.

I got to spend some time with my Aunt Lindy and Uncle Justin too!
Uncle Scotty taught me how to do a "pound" (you know, a fist bump....all the cool guys do it)! And I taught him how to find "goldbug" in my Richard Scarry book. I beat him good, 5 to 1!

God made dirt...

...and dirt don't hurt!
Well, I've come a long way from the days where I didn't like to get dirty at all. I used to have mom or dad wipe my hands off right away when the smallest speck of dirt got on me but look at me now! My grandpa has some big holes in his back yard because he's having a fence built so I like to go out there and do my best to fill the holes back in. Then I decided to put the dirt all over my legs! Boy was it fun!

Guess What Everyone?

I'm gonna be a big brother!
Yep, that's right! Mom says she has a baby in her tummy. And we just found out that I will get a baby brother!

Boys just wanna have fun!

Today mom and I went to visit my friend Rogan, his mommy and his new baby sister. Unfortunately mom forgot to take a picture of baby Skye but don't worry we're going to go back there soon. I had so much fun playing with Rogan. He's 10 months older than me and he can do a lot of crazy stuff like running and jumping on the couch. He can also swing a pretty mean bat. Mom and I tossed a ball to him and he hit it far! He shared all his toys with me this time too. We even went out in his backyard and played in the sandbox! This was new to me. Rogan was having so much fun he accidentally doused me with a hair-full of sand. I didn't mind too much but I did have to get my hair washed before bed. I can't wait to go back there and play!

"One more please!"

The park in Spokane was right across the street from my great-grandpa's house and I loved it! I would go to the big front window and say "wee, wee" which meant that I wanted to go swing and ride down the slide.
Mom and dad do this cool rocket ship with me on the swing and I think it's so funny. They hold me up for a 5 second countdown and then say "blast off" and let me go. I try to say "blast off" too when I'm ready for another one.
And now that I'm a big boy I can go down the slide all by myself! After each ride I would say, "one more" and hold up one finger (even though I wanted to go lots more). Everyone thought it was pretty cute. When I wanted to stop I simply waved and said "bye bye" to the slide.

18 Months!

Hi everyone! I am 18 months old now. A whole year and a half! I've been quite busy since my last blog. First, mom, dad and I flew to Spokane Washington. I was quite a trooper on the plane. After a 16 hour flight from Hong Kong, this 5 hour hop, skip and a jump didn't seem like anything! I also found a new friend, the flight attendant. She took me up and down the aisles and I made her sit on the floor with me and play with the beverage cart. I just sat down and patted the floor for her to join me and I even threw in a "peas" (please) which she couldn't resist.

When we got to Spokane I saw my great-grandpa on my dad's side, Aunt Helen, Uncle Dan and Aunt Linda, and cousins Nick and Renee. My grandparents were also there! We had a lot of adventures. First of all I was met at the front door by turtles that Helen and Grandma Carol made me. One of them was big enough for me to ride! I had fun exploring their house and I discovered a cool laundry chute that I liked to throw clothes down. It didn't matter if they were clean or dirty, they all went down the hole!
We played at the park (which was right across the road), went to the city center and went on a giant wagon slide, rode a carousel, and went on a train ride. We also found some birds to feed and while I was at it, I decided to feed myself a bit! Those birds had had enough bread and I was getting hungry.
