Happy New Year! This is the year of the pig. Actually the golden pig which only occurs every 60 years. On New Year's Eve Mom and Dad didn't sleep well because of all the firecrackers going off in our village. Me on the other hand slept like a baby and didn't hear any of it. We had something very exciting happen in our village, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong came to visit and everyone was outside waiting to greet him. He's basically like the president. While we were out I got tons of lai see (red packets) filled with money! It's traditional for people to give these red packets to single people and children. I made out like a bandit! 
We also went to see a park near Dad's school. Here are a couple pictures:

Jonah you take such beautiful pictures. You look very handsome in your outfit. Were you scared of the dragon or whatever that animal is? On Halloween I saw an adult dressed up as a lion and couldn't jump into my nana's arms fast enough.

I'm sharing these pictures with the second grade teachers and their students because they are studying Chinese New Year and these are very cool pictures. I hope that I can get them to come up on the computers at the school.
