My perspective...

My mom and dad take most of the pictures for my blog but since I'm almost 3, I decided it was about time that I took over! Here are a few shots from my perspective.

Merry Christmas

Those cookies paid off! I must have been a very good boy this year because I got tons of toys! It took me nearly all day to open everything though...I had to open Ezekiel's gifts too. And I stopped to play with each toy and read every book before opening another one. Santa is not so bad after all!

Cookies for Santa

Even though Santa was a little scary I decided I should make him some cookies anyway...mom and dad said it would increase my chances of getting good toys in the morning! So here I am slaving away making sugar cookies for Old Saint Nick!

Santa Claus meets the Easter Bunny!

Just having a little fun heading out the door to go look at Christmas lights.
I'm hoping Santa will come to my house this year even if I didn't sit on his lap. Mom and Dad got me and Ezekiel all dressed up and we went to the mall to see the big guy but as we were in line I got a little antsy and hugged on to Dad's leg a little tighter. By the time it was our turn I gave him a full on cling and I wasn't letting go! I mean, come on! That guy is scary! When my mom told me about him earlier that day I told her I would cry if I had to sit on his lap but throughout the day she almost had me convinced. Until I saw him that is! She gave up on me and tried to put Zekey on his lap but he pulled out his koala hug too and wouldn't let go! One point for me and Ezekiel, zero for mom and dad! But I still want Santa to bring me lots of toys. I don't get any more specific than that. Mom said we could make him some cookies and milk and I offered to help eat them. See how nice I am?

Holiday Greetings!

If you didn't get a Christmas card yet, it's either on the way or lost...
But this is the picture we used.

I admit, I wasn't in the best picture taking mood this day but they managed to get a couple cute ones of me anyway.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Shortly after Thanksgiving we put up our tree. I'd like to tell you that we all went out to a Christmas tree farm, took a hay ride, sipped some hot cider and hunted for the perfect tree... but in reality, Dad and I just went out to the garage and brought up our fake one! It was really mom's idea to get one (she's not a big fan of bugs in the house)! And I admit, I'm not a real fan either. As much as Dad is trying to teach me not to be afraid, I spend most of my days with Mama and well, when we see bugs we scream! We don't even like lady bugs. Anyway, I put up a couple of ornaments but decided to save the rest for Ezekiel since he's big enough to help this year. But I am taking this job very seriously as you can tell.
And this year we made a gingerbread house! I was so excited to help out but I did not like the part where we had to wait 15 minutes for it to set.
I had fun decorating it with candy, and I didn't even take a taste...
You can't prove anything!

Turkey's Birthday!

My little brother is growing up! But if that means I get to eat cake, I'm all for it! And he needed me to help him play with all his new toys!
Check out these wild turkeys we saw a few weeks before Thanksgiving! They were running away I think! I told dad that I saw eagles but now that I'm getting a closer look, I'm pretty sure they were turkeys.

Artist boy!

Now that it is officially winter (it's snowed twice already!), we don't get to go outside to play. And boys cooped up in the house all day is just not a good combination. Especially when one of the boys...and I won't mention any names...is taking full advantage of being 2 for another month and a half (if you know what I mean)! Said boy likes to whine when he doesn't get his way, cry over silly things and not listen to what his mom tells him to do all the time. And it's not just listening, mom says I have to obey too! Anyway, after a few days of that she went out and bought lots of arts and crafts for us to do together! My favorite is painting! Although it's messy, it keeps me busy for at least an hour and that works out well for everyone! I also tried my hand at using glue. Mom had a great idea of making my name out of beans but as you can see, I took the glue and made my own creation! We have a big bag full of goodies and I can't wait to try everything!

Dancing boy!

The other day before my bath I found this great dress in mom's closet and of course I just had to try it on. Good news, it fit perfectly! So naturally I ran around the house singing, "Dancing and dancing and dancing" and spinning around.
And yes, I'm fully aware that this photo may come back to haunt me but for now, it's too much fun to pass up!

Little Buddy!

Ezekiel is my little buddy! We have so much fun playing together. He likes to copy me and (to get attention) I like to copy him! We're usually pretty wild right before our bath. We jump on the bed, squeal at each other, chase each other and even tackle each other. I still like to take his toys but he's getting much better at letting mom know when I've done it so I don't get away with it as much any more. Luckily he can still be easily distracted so I can still get the toy I want... it's just a little harder.

Fall Hike

We found the coolest hiking trails right by our house and my parents took me there to go exploring! After loving the corn mazes so much mom thought I'd like to tramp through the woods too and boy was she right! I stepped on leaves, crunched pine cones and picked up sticks along the way. I even checked out some cool mushrooms and discovered bark on trees. My parents kept trying to get me to turn around but I wanted to keep exploring! And when I got tired I just insisted on Dad carrying me, I didn't see what the big deal was.

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat! Roarrrrr! That's me, the dragon! I picked out the costume all by myself. I had the best time trick or treating this year. Last year I just wore my costume around the house but this year I knew exactly what to do and couldn't wait. Mom said we had to wait until after dinner so at 9:00am I asked if I could have dinner! That didn't fly, I had to wait longer. But finally the time came and I was so pumped to walk around in my costume. All week I refused to wear the dragon hat but I wore it the whole time trick or treating. It had snowed earlier this week but halloween night was beautiful! I went up to doors, rang the bell and shouted, "Trick or treat, Roarrrr!" I scared everyone so much they gave me candy! My claws were so big I had trouble grabbing the candy but everyone was so nice to put some in my basket for me. I went down one road and made it halfway back up the other side when I said, "My little basket is all full now, we better go back home." Mom said we could go to a few more houses (and my basket really wasn't all that full...) but I told her just one more, I had had enough! I'm pretty sure she wanted more candy...So we went to two more houses and I think I was tired because when the people answered the doors I yelled, "Surprise" instead of "trick or treat". O'well, it still worked. When I got home I got to eat one piece of candy before bed and I chose a lollipop! Yum!

Carving Pumpkins

This is guy's work! But do I really have to get messy? I've always been a little neat freak and I really did not want to get my hands messy with all that gunk but after minimal success with the spoon I gave in and grabbed some of the gook.
I told dad I wanted a scary pumpkin and this is what he came up with:
