Have you ever read the book Blueberries for Sal? Well, just an hour drive and 10 tunnels away, we have a place just like Little Sal right here! We went there with our good friends Kathryn and Luke and of course their parents. Unfortunately the blueberries weren't quite ripe yet but we still had lots of fun throwing rocks in the water and running around in the woods. Hopefully we'll make it back up there in a couple weeks when the berries will be ready for picking!
This place is so cool! There were so many fun games to play we didn't have enough time to do them all. I loved the bowling game, especially when we figured out how to put up the bumper lanes. You can tell by my pictures I'm a natural and have great form! The soft play area was pretty cool too. Ezekiel and I ran around and went down slides until we were both drenched with sweat! I can't wait to go back here...and lucky for me it's gonna be real soon because my buddy Jake is having his birthday party here! Yippee!
All summer long I've wanted to go to the beach and see a lighthouse and as fate would have it, that's exactly what Ma wanted to do on her birthday! We had such a fun day but I must say the chocolate cake at the end of the day was my favorite part! I even got to help Ma blow out the candles!
Picnic at the lake! Driving lessons with Dad! Playing with my Bro! Roasting marshmallows with Ma! Eating berries out of Katie's garden! Swimming with Zeke! Playing with Pa! Throwing rocks in the pond! Summertime sure is fun!
You can't go wrong with a day at the Zoo! Thank goodness Ma found these cool Thomas the Train track outfits because it was quite chilly there and Mom didn't pack cold weather clothes!
Who needs animals when there are plastic things to run through! I could have stayed here all day! By far my favorite exhibit! Me and my Ma! Silly goat trying to eat Mom's jacket! I loved feeding the birds! I could never get one to land on me but they sure did love Aunt Helen! She was kind enough to share them with me. We topped off this day with a trip to the Old Spaghetti Factory... and with getting lost on the way there I was able to get my nap in the car!
Every summer I get to play with my good friend McKenzie! This time she came over to my Ma and Pa's house and we had a more casual date of throwing rocks in the pond together. After that we played with some bubbles. I wish I could have played with her more, she sure is fun! And she has a new baby brother named Riley who was really cute too. He and I even have the same birthday! How cool is that?
